Hairstyles and hair colors play a large part in accessorizing an outfit. I decided to dye my hair red/burgundy coming into the new year because I wanted some change, fresh out of a breakup and a challenge to see how the new color would change my style. SPOILER ALERT: nothing about my style changed but the hair color and style was an outfit enhancer and that pop I needed through the colder month of January.

My ponytail is revealing my ear cleavage. Jewelry is another great way to play up an outfit and helps say a lot while wearing a little. In my ear (top to bottom):

One of my major goals in 2024 was solo traveling. I wanted to start small and build my confidence over time so I started with my absolute favorite: New York City. I decided to stay in Manhattan for four days and be a total tourist from going to a Knicks game, to shopping around around SoHo, and most importantly to attend a live taping of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. It was the best way to kickoff my February and a trip that would essentially mark the remainder of my year.

I believe New York City is the place where my people are. The creative with personal style, a love for fashion, social events, and FOOD! It’s the place I can completely be myself, no one will care about you, and I am never bored. It will be my homebase some day.

We have come full circle back to hairstyles acting as an accessory. The bob haircut is the quintessential hairstyle for Fall/Winter and a style I decided to sport during the month of March. I could not upkeep the red hair so I went full Edna Mode realness. I draw inspiration for outfits from movies, television, art, and people! It is so exhilarating to build an outfit around a character and commit to the performance. Some of my favorite fashion-focused movies are these classics: The Devil Wears Prada, Mean Girls, Clueless, Bring It On, and The First Wives Club.
